Information Concerning Flash Rate & Seizures:
To calculate Hz, you take the flash rate per minute (i.e. 90 flashes per minute) and divide by the period (60 seconds)
“90 flashes per 60 seconds”, so 90/60 = 3/2 = 1.5 Hz.

Flash Modes for Stop Sign
Flash rate 1 – 30 flash per minute = 30 flash / 60 sec = .5hz
Flash rate 2 – 60 flash per minute = 60 flash / 60 sec = 1hz
Flash rate 3 – double flash 30 times per minute = 60 flash / 60 sec = 1hz
Flash rate 4 – triple flash 30 times per minute = 90 flash / 60 sec = 1.5hz

Notes: Between 3 and 30 Hertz (flashes per second) are the most common rates to trigger seizures, but this varies from person to person. While some people are sensitive to frequencies up to 60 Hertz, sensitivity below 3 Hertz is uncommon.
